I travelled to the RDS on Friday to attend the annual BT Young Scientist convention. We went and analysed different projects made by different students. There were also numerous attractions such as Robot Rumble, where robots made by mechanics would go head to head in a fight. We entered the RSA building where we learnt about road safety and different rules of the road. The trip was very enjoyable and I was happy that I went.

On the 10th of December 2017 our TY year group went to DIT Open Day in Dublin City. There were many courses on such as Culinary Arts, which was what I visited and attended. The campus was quite but the location of the college was handy because it was very close to Grafton Street and other parts of Dublin. I really enjoyed the experience and feel that DIT is an interesting college and next to Trinity it would be a college I would like to go to.
On the 17th of November the 4th Year group travelled to DCU in North Dublin to attend the Open Day. The Open Day consisted of numerous talks located around the college campus. The talks covered the courses the college does. These courses ranged from Multimedia to Physics with Astronomy. All talks had a designated time and location on campus. We spent a total of 4 and a half hours in DCU. Overall the day broadened our knowledge on the selection of college courses and what’s required in order to get into these courses.
