During December I participated in the Photography Course, which was an extra curricular activity. The course took place down at the sports hall. The supervisor in charge of the course brought state of the art cameras including extra equipment such as flashes, reflectors and props. We learnt how to take a proper self portrait and how to get proper lighting for a photo

Scuba Diving was an extracurricular activity where we travelled to the National Aquatic Centre in Blanchardstown, Dublin. A few days before, the man running the activity called Willy gave us a theory on all the safety guidelines for scuba diving. We travelled on a Monday to Blanchardstown where they had a state of the art pool that can change the water depth manually. This allowed us to swim over 2 metres below the surface, giving us a real experience of scuba diving. Overall the activity was something I had never done before and it was one to remember as I hope to do more scuba diving in the future.
Every Monday from 5:00 to 6:45 I took part in the boxing course as part of my extra - curricular activities. After sports I would go to the sports hall along with 10 others in my year. The course was run by two experienced coaches. We would do fitness for some of the class and learn a combination of punches and ways of blocking and avoid being punched. In the final class we did proper sparring where I went ahead against another guy in my year. I was OK with getting punched and enjoyed the end class as I was able to put the skills I had learnt to the test.At the end of the course my boxing technique had improved and I was more experienced than I was before. I also felt in better shape after all the fitness we did. It made me consider taking up boxing at a club.
Public Access To Law was a course run by an experienced female barrister who gave us a glimpse into the world of court cases and how a courtroom works. We learnt about how investigators go about doing their work and how they arrest criminals. I learnt about how being a jury plays an essential role in prosecuting the accused and how the justice system works in Ireland.
